Dear Clients,
On Friday July 17th 2020 between 03:00 EST and 06:00 EST, we will be upgrading the MariaDB (MySQL) database software on the ‘Romeo’ server to version 10.2. This upgrade will involve some downtime to client websites, as we have to shut down the database service during the upgrade. We anticipate a downtime of up to 1 hour during the maintenance window, though we will of course do everything we can to minimize this.
We don’t anticipate that the upgrade will have any adverse impact on client websites as incompatibilities are exceptionally rare, however we do advise that all clients ensure that their websites are fully operational after the maintenance has been completed.
