Dear Clients,
At approximately 05:19 UTC, we lost power to one equipment rack within our London facility. This affected both power distribution units within the rack, resulting in devices within the rack in question losing power briefly.
The power outage appears to have lasted no more than a few seconds, however it took our engineering team between 8 and 14 minutes to bring all servers and equipment back online due to the time that it takes servers to boot up. Our internal monitoring showed this complete by 05:33 UTC. Our team worked to access each server to verify accessibility, and at this time we believe that all servers are operational again.
This is an unusual event that we’ve never experienced before. For redundancy purposes, we deploy highly available power using separate diverse feeds to the power distribution units that power our equipment. We will be working to establish further details as to what occurred, and will take action to prevent a recurrence based on what we find.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that this caused. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our team via our helpdesk at https://my.kualo.com/ .
Kind regards,
Kualo Support
